Description

SyncWorks is a communication enhancement tool specifically designed for AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) teams. Its primary purpose is to keep your team informed about changes in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) entities. Currently, SyncWorks offers support for two key entity types: issues and issue comments.

 

With SyncWorks, you can effortlessly track updates and developments in your ACC projects, ensuring that your team stays in the loop and can respond promptly to changes as they occur. This tool enhances collaboration, streamlines communication, and helps your team maintain a clear overview of critical project data.

 

SyncWorks is the ideal solution to facilitate efficient information sharing and decision-making within your AEC projects, making it an essential addition to your toolkit.

Setup Instructions:

  1. Install SyncWorks Application:

    • Microsoft Teams Tenant:

    • Autodesk Construction Cloud:

  2. Adding SyncWorks to Microsoft Teams:

    • Once SyncWorks is installed in your Microsoft Teams tenant:

      • Open "Apps" in Microsoft Teams.

      • Find SyncWorks and click "Add."

  3. Consent for SyncWorks:

    • The first time you use SyncWorks, it will request consent:

      • Click "Provide consent."







         

      • You will be redirected to the Autodesk Construction Cloud website.

      • Log in to your Autodesk Construction Cloud account and grant consent.








         

  4. Successful Consent:

    • Once the consent process is completed successfully:

      • You will be redirected to a confirmation page.

      • Close this tab.

  5. Initial Data Pull:

    • Our system will initiate an initial data pull from your Autodesk Construction Cloud after successful consent.

  6. Select Your Hub:

    • When the initial data pull is finished, SyncWorks will send you a card in Microsoft Teams for Hub selection.

      • Choose the Hub from which you want to receive notifications.





         

  7. Select Your Project:

    • After selecting the Hub, choose the specific Project for notifications.





       

  8. Setup Finished:

    • Upon successful setup, you will receive a "Setup finished" card.

 




 

 

Your SyncWorks application is now ready to use.

Receiving Notifications

After completing the setup, you will automatically receive notifications whenever any of the supported entities are created or updated in Autodesk Construction Cloud. To ensure everything is functioning correctly, you can perform a test by creating an Issue or adding an Issue Comment to the project you selected during the setup.
